Professional Credentials
Leanne is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) # 2296 with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and has a Masters of Education (MEd) in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University, Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) in Psychology, and a Professional Teaching Certificate. She has had training in many areas including complex trauma therapy, anxiety treatments, and ADHD.
Worldview and Counselling Perspective
Leanne appreciates that each person is very unique and she will treat you with compassion, warmth, understanding, and empathy. She uses various strategies to address issues, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. Leanne has a strong Christian faith background and is highly respectful of all perspectives. She will work with you to determine your goals, and then support you as you achieve them.
Counselling Information
Counselling in Person (all ages) and Skype/Facetime (adults only): $150/session.
Session Length – 50 minutes.
Payment for Services
Payment is due at the time of the session by cash or cheque or by e-transfer by the end of the day. Make cheques payable to Leanne Novakowski. Some employee benefits packages and extended medical insurance cover personal and family counselling with registered counsellors. Check with your provider.
Cancellation Fee: With notification of less than 24 hours, clients agree to pay a cancellation fee equal to a full session, except in emergency.
