Individual Counselling
Compassionate, Christ-centered support for life’s personal challenges.
Individual Counselling at Doing Family Right
Individual counselling is a powerful step toward healing, self-discovery, and emotional strength. At Doing Family Right, we offer personalized, faith-based support for individuals navigating life’s challenges—from anxiety, depression, and grief to identity struggles, past trauma, or everyday stressors. Our trained and compassionate counsellors provide a safe, confidential environment where you can explore what’s weighing on your heart and mind.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s not uncommon to feel stuck, confused, or emotionally exhausted. Whether you’re facing a personal crisis or simply feel like something’s not quite right, individual counselling offers space to pause, reflect, and gain perspective. At DFR, our approach integrates psychological expertise with biblical values—because we believe real transformation involves both the heart and mind.
Sessions are tailored to your unique story. You’ll be supported by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or certified professional who walks with you toward clarity and growth. Many of our clients come to work through past hurts, manage anxiety or depression, deal with relational difficulties, or simply grow in their emotional resilience and spiritual maturity.
As a faith-based counselling centre, we also welcome those who may not share our beliefs but are seeking respectful, values-informed support. Our goal is to meet every client where they are—with care, empathy, and practical tools for change. You are not alone, and it’s never too late to reach out for help.
If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and wholeness, we invite you to take the first step. Let’s work together to help you move forward with strength, clarity, and renewed purpose.
When is the right time to reach out for help?
In this short video, DFR Counsellor Leanne Novakowski (MA, RCC) offers insight into when someone should consider seeking individual counselling—whether you’re in crisis or simply feeling off. Her compassionate, faith-based perspective encourages people to take that first step toward healing before things unravel.
Watch to hear Leanne’s encouragement and wisdom on what reaching out can look like.
