Neurodivergent Counselling for Children & Adults at Doing Family Right
Neurodivergent counselling for children and adults provides compassionate, specialized support for individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other forms of neurodiversity. At Doing Family Right, we believe that every person deserves to be seen, understood, and supported in a way that honours their unique wiring—not forced into a mold.
Our counsellors create a safe and inclusive environment where neurodivergent individuals (and their families) can explore challenges, celebrate strengths, and develop tools for thriving in everyday life. Whether you’re a parent navigating a new diagnosis for your child, an adult seeking support with focus, sensory processing, social connection, or emotional regulation—we’re here to help.
For children, counselling focuses on helping them understand their emotions, navigate relationships, and build resilience. Parents are often included in the process to ensure tools and insights can be applied at home, school, and in daily routines. We take a strengths-based approach, helping kids embrace who they are while gaining practical skills to manage the areas they struggle with.
For adults, counselling may explore executive function, emotional regulation, burnout, masking, or social exhaustion. Many adults seek us out after a late-in-life diagnosis or when realizing that their challenges have gone undiagnosed for years. We offer space to unlearn shame, rebuild confidence, and gain clarity around personal needs and boundaries.
We also offer support to families as a whole, helping neurotypical and neurodivergent members better understand one another and build stronger relationships.
Doing Family Right’s approach is faith-sensitive and deeply respectful of every client’s journey. If desired, we integrate spiritual care and encouragement that reflects each individual’s worldview. Above all, our goal is to help you or your loved one move from confusion to clarity, from coping to confidence, and from surviving to truly thriving.
Whether you or your child have a diagnosis—or are simply wondering if your brain works a little differently—this space is for you.
