Jamie is passionate about helping everyone uncover and reach their potential whether they feel stuck in their personal life, relationships, or professional life. Jamie led a project to create mental health support in the areas of substance abuse education and recovery.  He has supported men along their substance abuse recovery journey at Wagner Hill’s men’s campus. Jamie has also volunteered to mentor youth in grades 5-12 at church through personal struggles and spiritual growth. In addition, he worked at Langley Christian Middle School to assist students in social-emotional development.

Jamie’s areas of practice include:

2. Professional Credentials

Jamie is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (#10011146). He is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counselling (Townsend Institute). He received his Bachelor of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University. He has also received a Diploma in Professional Counselling from Pacific Life Bible College and a certificate in Complex Trauma from the RE:ACT Centre.

3. Worldview and Counselling Perspective

Jamie utilizes a person-centred approach to counselling and is influenced by attachment theory and memory reconsolidation science. He has also received training in Dr. John Townsend’s counselling model, which uses the latest neuroscience and research to promote lasting change. As a Christian, Jamie welcomes all faith beliefs into the session as the client determines.

4. Counselling Information

In Office sessions. For those living within driving distance of Abbotsford in BC’s Fraser Valley, sessions are available directly with Jamie.

Session Length – 50 minutes.

Cost: $50/ session

By Phone or via Zoom or Face Time sessions. Where distance limits direct personal access, phone or online coaching has been very effective.

5. Payment for Services

Payment is due at the time of the session by cash or cheque or by e-transfer by the end of the day. Make cheques payable to Jamie Johnson.

Cancellation Fee: With notification of less than 24 hours, clients agree to pay a cancellation fee equal to a full session.
