Lauren has a compassionate heart for people and desires to walk alongside them wherever they may be in their journey. She has worked as an effective, empathic support to children, adolescents, parents, and families for the past 15 years. Lauren’s professional experience as a school counsellor and program director for at-risk youth enables her to provide a diverse breadth of expertise for children and families seeking to navigate life’s challenging circumstances. Lauren is delighted to join the DFR Care Centre team as a graduate counselling student.

2. Professional Credentials
Lauren is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a bachelor of arts, a bachelor of education, and is nearing completion of a Master of Arts in Counselling (Providence Theological Seminary). In addition, Lauren has received specialized training and holds designations in the following areas:
- Theraplay Certification (Level I)
- Introduction to Neuroscience and Satir in the Sand Tray (NSST)
- Working with Families in the Sand Tray (NSST)
- Mental Health First Aid
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certification (Level I and II)
- Strong Interest Inventory Career Assessment Certification
- DISC Trainer Certification (Level I and II)
3. Worldview and Counselling Perspective
Lauren approaches therapy from a person-centred counselling foundation. She recognizes that trust, empathy, and respect play an integral role in building a strong, meaningful, effective therapeutic relationship with her clients. Her counselling focus and heart’s desire is to partner with each individual to overcome obstacles, find healing, and pursue goals that will enable them to live abundant, rich, purpose-filled lives. While Lauren’s worldview is anchored in her deep-seated faith in God, she respects each person’s journey. Therefore, she is committed to facilitating spiritual discussions based on the unique needs and preferences of the client with the utmost warmth and care.
4. Counselling Information
In Office sessions. For those living within driving distance of Abbotsford in BC’s Fraser Valley, sessions are available directly with Lauren.
Session Length – 50 minutes.
Cost: $50/ session
By Phone or via Zoom or Face Time sessions. Where distance limits direct personal access, phone or online coaching has been very effective.

5. Payment for Services
Payment is due at the time of the session by cash or cheque or by e-transfer by the end of the day. Make cheques payable to Lauren Teichrob.
Cancellation Fee: With notification of less than 24 hours, clients agree to pay a cancellation fee equal to a full session.
