New Staff Coming on Board…

We want to welcome Dave & Melissa McVety and their family to the Doing Family Right team. We are so excited for God’s clear leading in their lives and can’t wait to see how the Lord is going to use them.

“We couldn’t be more excited about how God has lead us to DFR. Through intentional prayer and a distinct name inscribed in the mind of Melissa (that of our new leader). Then, not only through our own discernment but that of many other Godly people around us, God began the process of ‘giving us the desires of our hearts’ to help reach out to families with the difference Jesus makes. Although sometimes difficult, stepping out in faith becomes a little easier with such clear direction from the Lord. Now we’re living out that faith, in both the thrilling and stretching times.”

A Huge Step of Faith

As a non-profit ministry, DFR staff members are missionaries to the marriages and families of Canada. The McVety’s raise their own support to cover their living and ministry expenses. If it helps, picture the 6 of them going to Africa. They moved from Manitoba in August to make this transition. They will spend most of their Fall finishing the ministry partner development phase before taking on their ministry responsibilities full time.
