Gel, isn’t that something you put in your hair? Something that holds it in the place you want it to stay?

Friendship is like that gel, it keeps our relationship where we want and need it to be. But there are differences between a “best friend” relationship with our spouse and with someone of the same sex who shares our interests. 

Friendship can look and feel different and be thought of in different ways, regardless there is no question that there is still a need for renewed and continued connection and appreciation for each other.

Our marriages naturally grow apart unless we chose to do something about it.
